Feedback
This week I have been assigned to give my professor feedback on the topics I have been told to write about throughout this semester. Here are the questions:
1. What have your favorite topics been so far?
I feel as though most of my blog posts talk about the same things, just using different techniques. As I've said before in my blog, I enjoy helping others and being a friend to all, so the weeks when I get to capitalize on that is always a joy for me. I think one of my favorite posts was when I did a brief review of social media influencer, Victoria Garrick. She promotes a lot of body positivity, health living, mental health awareness and self love, all of which I am very passionate about. Her social media posts have helped me through several of my darkest times and I was so happy to have the opportunity to write about her and hopefully lead more people who need it, to her content.
2. What's been the most boring topic to cover?
I have genuinely enjoyed all of the blog topics, but I favor the ones where I am able to be more creative and share things about myself with my audience. So the week where I posted about how one should create a professional online profile, was a little boring to me. I basically just looked at my text book (and used common sense) and created a simple list of what one should do if they want to create a professional online profile. This didn't take any creativity which is why I would say that it was my least favorite/ the most boring.
3. How do you think you'll be able to apply what you've been learning so far to the real world?
As I've mentioned before, I am a Communications major, however, I don't have a specific field of interest and the communication world is a very broad one. I do know that no matter what field I go into, a basic overview of most or all of the fields will be very helpful for me in order to succeed. Knowing how to present myself professionally online will be useful to me whether I get a job in social media or not. All of the things I've learned in this class can help me in any specific area I chose to study, which Is something very unique to Communications majors.
