Victoria Garrick Review

Victoria Garrick is an influencer I have been following for several months. She is an advocate for mental health and body image issues, as well as being a former D1 Athlete. Victoria gives her followers insights about what it has been like for her, growing up struggling with mental health and body image and how that affected her on and off the court.

I follow Victoria on TikTok and Instagram, where she often posts positive and helpful videos for those struggling with body image and/or mental health. Many young girls and women as well as athletes follow Victoria on social media. Victoria is a positive, encouraging, helpful, inspirational brand voice to her followers.

Victoria is often seen posting in her Fabletics workout clothes, because she is a known ambassador for that brand. She often choses to pose in ways that reveal her body to be normal and relatable. She can be seen in several of her Instagram photos, with her body turned away from the camera and her head peaking over her shoulder, thus revealing the lines that form on her back and her sides. In one of her more recent Instagram posts Victoria posted a series of pictures of herself. The first being a regular photo of her posing in a sports bra and leggings. The next four pictures are close ups of some of her biggest insecurities. Victoria reveals her stretch marks, body hair, stomach rolls etc. and leaves a long and important message as her caption.

I discovered her TikTok account several months ago while I was scrolling through various volleyball videos. I clicked on her profile and started watching more of her videos and I followed her right away. Victoria has her Instagram account in her TikTok profile which is where I discovered her Instagram page. Again, it was a no-brainer for me in deciding to follow her. I follow Victoria because I am also an athlete who struggles with body image and mental health. It has always been a dream of mine to be an advocate and influencer of these issues and help and inspire people the way Victoria does.
